John Batt

John has been a Registered Professional and Licensed Cadastral Surveyor since 1990. His survey career began at the University of Otago where he completed a Bachelor of Surveying degree from 1984 to 1987. He then joined Lands & Surveys and become a fully qualified land surveyor in 1990. Since his Lands & Survey days he has also enjoyed working for Department of Survey and Land Information, Terralink NZ and John West Surveys in the Nelson region.

John is the managing director of Tasman Gowland Surveyors and the manager of the Richmond office.

Dave Gowland

Dave is the manager of the Takaka office and is also a director of Tasman Gowland Surveyors.

Following the retirement of his father, Trevor Gowland, from Gowland Surveyors Dave has joined forces with John and Craig to form Tasman Gowland Surveyors. Dave has been surveying in Golden Bay and the Nelson region or over 25 years and has specialise knowledge of subdivisions and surveying in the Golden Bay area.

Dave was elected as Golden Bay community board member in 2013.

Craig Burnett

Craig is a director of Tasman Gowland Surveyors and a surveyor based at the Richmond office

Since joining Lands and Survey in 1975 Craig has also worked as a surveyor for the Department of Survey and Land Information, Terralink NZ and John West Surveys. Craig has specialise knowledge of topographical surveys, precise levelling and deformation or monitoring surveys. He has worked throughout the Nelson province for over 30 years and in particular knows the Murchison and Buller areas well.
